Rough log book kept on England-Australia Flight, Cecil Arthur Butler, 1931

In this Rough Log Book supplied by the Comper Aircraft Company, Butler made brief notes during his record-breaking flight from England to Darwin. The notes refer to landing places, times, and weather and include the occasional comment such as "Returned Brindisi machine on fire" and "Somebody pinched carpet".

A pocket at the front of the book contains a printed leaflet 'Hints for the Owner-Pilot'.
