Circular fifty cent coin made of silver. On the obverse of the coin is an image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II shown in profile wearing the royal crown and on the reverse is the Australian Coat of Arms. The Coat of Arms is distinguished by a kangaroo and an emu on either side of a central shield set against a background of golden wattle (Australia's national flower).
On the obverse of the coin is 'ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 1966' and on the reverse is '50'.
