Savoury case mould, aluminium / wire, Forbes, New South Wales, late 1940s-early 1950s.
Mould was dipped in batter of self-raising flour, salt and water, and then dipped into hot fat, to make a waffle-style star shaped savoury case, which was piled up with savoury fillings such as oysters.
Bought in Grace Bros store, Sydney, after seeing a demonstration.

Star shaped mould of aluminium comprising 6 diamond shaped outlines joined together, with crudely made handle of wire set in centre, wire twisted at top end to form hand grip / loop for hanging. Handle probably not original.
