Description
Medical vibrator and case, 'The Veedee', steel/nickle/cork/wood/leather, The Veedee Co, London, England, 1908.
-1. Manually operated vibrator machine made of steel, plated in nickel, crank handle, eccentric fly-wheel, causes vibration. Main handle, cork, crank handle wooden knob.
-2. Cup and ball massager: nickel plated, cup on rod, rubber ball fits inside cup, attaches to vibrator for massage.
-3. Rubber disc attachment: circular, reddish rubber disc, attached to nickel plated rod. Attach to vibrator machine for massage.
-4. Case for vibrator: black leatherette covered carrying case. Rectangular, lined purple velvet, fitted to hold machine.
-5. Phamplet: "Curative Vibration" 20 pages, green paper cover with various endorsements, illustration in black and white.
-6. Phamplet: "The Veedee and its uses for women", 16 pages. Brown and white illustrated cover, 6 photograhs of women using Veedee.
-7. Booklet: "How to use/the Veedee/"For curative vibration,/vibratory massage,/Nerve Stimulation,/and Blood Circulating/in various complaints, etc. with/Special Chapters, relating to/it's uses for the toilet.". 44 pages with index, illustrated. Published by J.E. Garratt, 96, Southwark Street, London, S.E.
