Plate, earthenware, maker unknown, Australia, c. 1940s

Plate, white earthenware, low footring, circular well, sides flaring to a thick, indented edge. Octagonal design on rim, with concentric circular lines broken by dotted verticals. Rim edge in blue. Covered in an all over clear glaze. Incised on base, under glaze, with potter's signature.
