Surveyor's box sextant made by Cary, London, c. 1850. An instrument for measuring angular distance between two objects. Construction: Polished brass in cylinder 3 3/16" diameter x 1 5/8" with seperate eye piece. Complete with leather carrying case, (4 pieces).(SB).
Made: 1845 - 1855
