Womens short cape made of black silk taffeta and heavily decorated with velvet, beading and lace. The cape has a V-neckline and V-shaped hem front and back. The neckline and upper arm section of the cape are trimmed with a black lace frill. The left and right fronts are of black cut silk velvet which is heavily beaded with black glass beads. The fronts extend down centre front with with a black silk ribbon bow. The centre front is also decorated with black velvet ribbon that has been looped and bunched together. Under the ribbon falls two long false ties of pleated black moire trimmed with black lace and black silk ribbon bows. The back is decorated with the same cut velvet and beading as the front. The centre front opening fastens with two black painted metal hooks and eyes. The cape is handsewn and lined with black silk taffeta.
