Summer day dress of cotton - pink & white candy stripe, Jacket bodice, front buttoned to neck by white fancy mother-of-pearl buttons, shirring at shoulder & waist. Fitted sleeves with pleated edging. Skirt - braided hem, 3 layers of pleated flounces, wide skirt - longer & fuller at back to be wornover crinoline. (back piece of skirt missing) Period 1865 - 1870 (SB)

Summer day dress of cotton - pink & white candy stripe, Jacket bodice, front buttoned to neck by white fancy mother-of-pearl buttons, shirring at shoulder & waist. Fitted sleeves with pleated edging. Skirt - braided hem, 3 layers of pleated flounces, wide skirt - longer & fuller at back to be wornover crinoline. (back piece of skirt missing) Period 1865 - 1870 (SB)
