Disc music box, Polyphon table model [style no 46 or 46C], Polyphon Musikwerke, Liepzig, c.1890-1914 (B Nemec 1994) Musical box, "Polyphon", and 6 records, in wooden case with veneer top, Leipzig, Germany (OF).
Single comb with 46 teeth; plays 24.3cm discs; case of walnut veneer, with hinged lockable lid; pale banding and inlay on lid; sepia-toned engraving of putti playing musical instruments on inside of lid.
Six metal discs: "I dreamt that I dwelt in marble halls"; "The wearin' of the green"; "Freischutz Dirch Die Walder"; "Der Alten Hein - The Old Folks at Home"; "Kathleen Maureen"; "The song that reaches my heart".
