Microscope, petrological, with accessories, brass/wood/glass, Watson & Sons, London, England, [early 20th century]
Made by W. Watson & Sons, 313 High Holborn, London. Date of manufacture unknown but must be later than 1882, probably earlt 20th Century.
William Watson founded his company in 1837 at City Road, Clerkenwell, London and 1862 moved his manufacturing to 313 High Holborn Road, London. In 1867 the company name was changed to W. Watson & Son ,and in 1882 changed again to W. Watson & Sons. William Watsom died in 1881. Date of manufacture of this exhibit is unknown but must be later than 1882, probably early 20th century.
