Free standing timber cabinet with glass doors at front and ornate timber detailing around edges; plays single disc vertically; drawer in base houses crank handle; organ, drum and effects.
Seven discs of 26" diameter: "'Rhoda and her pagoda' song from 'San Toy'"; "Mimosa Waltz from Geisha"; "The handy man"; "The Gay Tom Tit"; "The Liberty Bell March (Sousa)"; "selection The Geisha"; "The Shop Girls Waltz".
Made: 1885 - 1895
Marks
On glass doors: "Plays popular music" and "Put one penny in the slot".
Carved in timber below doors: "E.W. Cole/ Agent for Melbourne".
