Diagrams (7), illustrating development of the Edison and Swan incandescent lamps, paper / ink, Ediswan, London, England, pre 1943
Thomas Edison and Joseph Swan, working independently, developed light bulbs capable of being commercially produced in the late 1870s and early 1880s.

Attribution only. Marks on diagrams state drawings are based on lamps in collection of English electrical company Ediswan, also known as Edison Swan Electric Co. Ltd.

Attribution only: manufacture predates donation in 1943.

(-1) First practical incandescent lamp, 1878; (-2) Improved carbon filament lamp, 1848; (-3) Edison's First Practical Incandescent Electric lamp, 1879; (-4) The First Swan Commercial Lamp, 1881; (-5) The First Edison Commercial lamp, 1881; (-6) The Modern Royal Ediswan coiled coil lamp; (-7) The First Tungsten Filament Lamp, 1909. All black and white diagrams on paper, mounted on cardboard.
