Sandal, inverted V strap, straight left of pair, womens, [wool] / leather / wood, maker unknown, Burma, late 19th century

Womens sandal, straight left of pair, with inverted V strap, stitched in channel construction with round toe and a single lift pegged heel. Sandal features a red [wool] inverted V padded strap anchored between the first and second toes extending to behind the waist. Sandal unlined with sock in quilted red wool and white stitched red border.The seat is in ginger coloured wool, hide heel is coarse stitched and sole features stitching in the channels following the outline.
