Envelope carried on the Sydney Morning Herald aeroplane flown by P G Taylor during the South Australian Centenary Air Race. A blue ink cachet naming the event is in the upper left corner of the envelope and below is typewritten text giving the details of the flight. There is a 2d Australian stamp that commemorates the centenary of the founding of South Australia. It depicts the proclamation tree and buildings and bush. There is a postmark from Adelaide, dated 21 December 1936. The envelope has been signed by P G Taylor.
