Philatelic cover, South Australian Centenary Air Race, signed, paper, used by E Crome, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1936
The maker of the envelope is unknown but it was designed by E Crome in 1936.
Information provided by E Crome states that P G Taylor was 'Using his percival Gull monoplane VH.-UVA. for the purpose of observing and recording the air race for the Sydney Morning Herald, he carried six covers for me.'

Philatelic cover, South Australian Centenary Air Race, signed, paper, used by E Crome, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1936

Envelope carried on the Sydney Morning Herald aeroplane flown by P G Taylor during the South Australian Centenary Air Race. A blue ink cachet naming the event is in the upper left corner of the envelope and below is typewritten text giving the details of the flight. There is a 2d Australian stamp that commemorates the centenary of the founding of South Australia. It depicts the proclamation tree and buildings and bush. There is a postmark from Adelaide, dated 21 December 1936. The envelope has been signed by P G Taylor.
