Phonograph, "Bijou" coin-in-the-slot cylinder, glass fronted wooden cabinet, winding handle, serial no. G137520, Edison, USA, 1908

Edison 'Bijou' coin-in-the-slot phonograph consisting of a modified 'Gem' phonograph activated by a 'coin weight' system contained within a glass-fronted wooden cabinet. The phonograph has a winding handle and plays two-minute cylinders. The display panel on the top of the phonograph is a modern replacement. The phonograph bears the serial number G137520.
