Model, Safety Theatrical Chair, designed by Richard Bartholomew Smith, metal, made in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1908
Consists of a small model of a chair designed by R.B. Smith. The chair is covered with purple velvet material and has gold coloured studs decorating the seat, backrest and armrests. The chair is spring-loaded and folds out to become a full-seated chair. A small compartment below the seat of the chair also folds out.
