Description
Printing blocks (3), kookaburra, lyrebird, stained window scene, wood, Collingridge, Sydney, Australia, 1890.
Wooden printing blocks, constructed in three pieces fastened by screws and nuts. The hollows for the screws extend over the edge of the right side of the block. The blocks are carved in low relief and depict the following:

Profile of a kookaburra perched on a stand with light fitting on its head and a pocket watch at the base of the stand.

Frontal view of lyrebird with tail raised, standing over a banner inscribed in reverse with the text 'AUSTRALIA'.

Stained window scene is currently missing.
