Certificate, 2nd prize Mile Championship, presented to Bernard Bede (Barney) Kieran, by NSW Amateur Swimming Association, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1905

Kieran's swim was made in 25 minutes 23 and 2/5 seconds. The certificate features an illustration of a male swimmer holding a wreath on the left, bullrushes and waterlilies on the right and the Association's crest in the centre. It is signed by Walter N. Benjamin, President, J.H. Fisher, Honorary Treasurer and George W. Hearne, Honorary Secretary.
