Anatomical model, human head (right side), wood / papier-mache/ plaster / paint, made by F Ramme, Germany, 1850-1894
Right side of hollow human head and shoulder relief shown in profile. The head is made of painted plaster and papier-mâché mounted on a cream painted rectangular board of wood. The head shows the muscle and vascular system with blue and red arteries, skin covered ear and nose and closed eye. The back side of the wooden board is painted black with two unpainted rectangular lines featuring five holes with nails in each.

Marks
Numbers are printed in black ink onto small square pieces of paper on the head, neck and shoulder. They sporadically range in number from one to fifty-six. There is also a black printed circular stamp on the top of the head. It is written in German, '[illeg] geschutze / F. / Ramme / Hamburg'.
