  • Similar machines to this one sold in their tens of thousands and were used throughout the horticultural sector in Australia.

Rotary cultivation was developed to a marketable form by Australian inventor, Cliff Howard, in the early 1920s. This is one of HowardÂ?s earliest 'walk-behind' machines and is powered by a British Sturmey Archer engine. It was produced at his Northmead factory. Similar machines eventually sold in their tens of thousands and were used throughout the horticultural sector in Australia.
