The model shows Jorn Utzon's design of the final glass scheme in the major hall of the Sydney Opera House. The model also has tile prototypes and other architectural materials associated with the building construction which were made by various makers in New South Wales, Australia in the 1960s. The scale of the model is 1/128 and it is mounted on a purple and black base. The model is made from white, red, purple and black painted wood and plastic. A small black plaque is mounted to the model with the text 'Sydney Opera House, Scale 1 to 128, constructed by Finecraft Scale Models Pty Ltd, Sydney NSW Australia' engraved in white.
