This model was used as a builder's model ; the ship based on this model was never built. Lighters were workboats normally found working in harbours charging and discharging stores and crew to and from larger sea-going vessels.

Description
Half ship model, lighter, single screw, half-hull made of solid Californian Redwood, mounted on rectangular backing board. Bascking board and hull brown, rudder and keel black. Two black detail strips around hull. Hanking hooks at top of backing board.
