Submarine cable, a piece of Atlantic submarine cable (OF). ...10" long by 1 1/8" diameter. Consisting of central core of 7 strands of copper wire insulated & padded, surrounded by 10 strands of iron wire covered with rope wrapped on spirally (SB).
