Invented by R B Robinson - Sydney Univerisity. Purchased by donor as a student at the University of New South Wales for 20-30 pound in 1962. It was used to calculate impendences of transmission lines for specifying characters of circuit protection devices.

A circular slide rule, with an aluminium base and handle. There is one aluminium slide and three clear plastic slides marked 'REAL' and 'IMAG' and one thicker perspex top layer.There are two aluminium studs on the uppermost plastic scale. There is blue and red graduated scales on the aluminium base.
