The stockbook entry says that this is a Farleigh Downs stone, from the locality of "Farleigh, near Bath". This could be Monkton Farleigh, which is just east of Bath. The other "Farleigh"s in England are in North Somerset, Surrey and Kent.

Item purchased in 1883, so presumably quarried prior to this date.
