Ornamental horn with scrimshaw, depicting an emu, lyrebird and pine tree, horn, maker unknown, Australia, 1835-1845

Description
Ornamental horn, cream in colour, featuring scrimshaw decoration of an emu, lyrebird, pine tree and a man riding on the back of a bucking horse. The rider's hat has fallen off. In the background are stylised hills, rocks and leaves. The tip of the horn is black and around the uneven rim are six small holes, probably for hanging. The horn is hollow and has a smooth, polished surface.
