Description
White cotton lawn sampler of needlework stitches, made in the shape of an apron, illustrating hemming stitch, running stitch, tucking, gathering, stroking, french seams, a placket, patching holes and herringbone stitch. Hand sewn. Maker not known, probably school child. Made in England. c. 1850. L. 36cm. Condition: intact.(SB).
