Description
Figurine, female, terracotta, India, 3rd-2nd centuries BCE

This figurine is made of orange terracotta and is in the form of a female with an elaborate coiffure, and with outstretched arms. It is hand-modelled and the large eyes have been added using incised flattened pieces of clay. The arms are broken off just below the shoulder, and the body is broken off at the chest.
