Oil lamp, moulded geometric decoration, earthenware, maker unknown, Palestine, 5th to 8th Century CE
Oil lamp, earthenware, terracotta, unglazed, small, shallow dished vessel, pyriform in plan, waisted between the circular bowl and narrow spout, low foot ring, residual lump at back of bowl for handle. There is a large circular filling spout, in the centre top, above the bowl, and a smaller wick hole in the end of the spout. Features moulded geometric decoration on the upper surface, with concentric circles around both openings.
