Oil lamp, mould made, earthenware, maker unknown, Palestine, 5th Century to 8th Century CE
Oil lamp, small, shallow, dished vessel, ovoid in plan, spout and bowl with continous smooth outline, no handle, low ring foot. Large, circular filling hole in centre top, smaller hole at spout end. Decorated with two raised concentric circles around both holes. Between the wick and the filling holes is a schematised menorah in relief, around the filling hole, raised strokes. Spout area blackened through use.
