Dressing case (toilet case), gentleman's, rectangular with hinged lid, wooden carcase with burr walnut veneer, bound with brass edges, plain rectangular brass plate on the top, keyhole escutcheon at front is missing; lid interior lined with blue velvet and fitted with a mirror, the interior of the case is divided with compartments and a removable wooden tray to hold toilet items: contents include a blue velvet liner / tool holder, five glass containers with silver plated covers, one cut glass bottle with glass stopper, nail brush, shaving brush in metal case, razor strop in sheath, a 'Souvenir' folder ?, pommade stick and two pen quills, maker unknown, [England], late C19th.
