Teacup and saucer, 'Blanche de Chine' Spode Copeland ware, porcelain, WT Copeland & Sons Ltd, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, c1935
White porcelain teacup and saucer, both with matching floral decoration. The teacup has a moulded handle painted blue and a moulded floral pattern on the body, painted blue pink and green. The saucer has a matching moulded pattern, painted blue, pink and green, in three configurations, joined around the rim of the well which is painted blue. Makers marks inscribed the base of teacup and saucer.

Maker's mark inscribed on base in green, "Blanche de Chine. / REG No 785542. / U.S.A. PATENT PENDING. / SPODE / COPELAND'S CHINA / ENGLAND"
Inscription on base, handwritten in red, "Y / 3464" and "97"
