Ewer, four-sided, painted with dog roses on cream ground, painted by J Kitteredge, made by Doulton & Co, Burslem, England, 1885-1902
Ewer, with dog roses in Spanish style on back and front panels; ivory and gold handle; side panels in enamel daisies with gold leaves on ivory ground. By J. Kitteridge; modelled by C J Noke. A fine example of the meticulous work done in Sam Wilson's studio under Mr Slater's direction. (John Shorter, Sen)

Brown transfer print 'DOULTON BURSLEM ENGLAND' surmounted by crown. Painted in orange 'C3484 SW'. Written in pencil the signature of the artist 'J Kitteridge. Artists monogram JK. Rectangular sticker 'B17'.
