A cover for a tureen, made from fine bone china, oval in shape, bearing a decoration of flowers. The cover is domed, with a scroll handle at the centre. It is decorated with flowers, mainly in pink, yellow, blue, red, orange, white, purple and green, on a reserved background. Bordering the floral decoration are canary yellow surrounds, decorated with raised, pale brown enamel floral sprays, outlined in gold. The cover is also decorated with pale brown moulded flowers and scrolls, edged in fine seeded gold. The handle is decorated with moulded flowers and painted pale lustrous brown, with detailing in fine seeded gold. The rim is edged in gold and a band of pale brown raised enamel dots.
