Christening mug, sterling silver, made by H & T, Birmingham, England 1872-73
A small christening mug, made of sterling silver with an embossed floral decoration around the body and and engraved monogram which reads, 'RMO' ion cursive script. Mug has a c-shaped handle which is decorated with nine small balls which gradually decrease in size down the handle. Makers marks are on top of outside body.
Marks
Makers marks include the text, 'HT', the Queens head, a lion, an anchor and the letter, 'x'
