A1080 Flounce of cream Irish crochet lace, cotton, Ireland, 1890-1910.
Cream Irish crochet lace flounce with a straight footside and slightly scalloped headside. The only motif used is complex with a round central disk covered by surface coils over cord and with many irregular and grotesque appendages. The ¬?waterlily¬? motifs have the long axis arranged vertically along the lower border or headside with alternate ones rotated 180o. Above them the motifs are placed horizontally in a line.
