The coins were minted by the Royal Australian Mint. Mint designer Vladimir Gottwald designed the reverses of both coins, and Ian Rank-Broadley created the effigy of Her Majesty the Queen (Elizabeth II).

Description
Coins (2), silver, in presentation case, Golden Jubilee of the Snowy Mountains Scheme, Vladimir Gottwald (designer, reverses), Ian Rank-Broadley (designer, obverses), Royal Australian Mint, Canberra, Australia, 1999.
Two silver coins and a Certificate of Authenticity, housed in a presentation case, within cardboard box.
(-1) coin depicting various construction scenes.
(-2) coin depicting mountains in the background, a dam and reservoir in the middle, and a construction worker in the foreground. The wording "The Snowy Mountains Scheme" and "10 dollars"(denomination) circumscribe the reverses of both coins. A portrait of Her Majesty the Queen, and the words "Elizabeth II" and "Australia 1999" are on the obverses. The coins, certificate of authenticity (-3), and presentation case (-4) are enclosed in a navy blue cardbord box (-5).
