The clipping reads 'MADAME HENRY / The death of Madame Henry gave us all / a great shock. She was a good and charm- / ing woman and popular in the best sense, / for her popularity rested on genuine merit / and excellent work. There were few, if / any, better read women in our midst, and / she did more than any other person I know / to acclimatise the flower of French culture / here. The last time I met her was at the / Society of Artists, where she directed a / little French comedy and acted as hostess / for a crowd. Her memory will long be cherished in Sydney.'
