The success of this type of painting for labels meant that local artists and designers found a lucrative outlet with the growing demand for this kind of label and poster. This fostered a new form of expression that is a synthesis of Western ideas and technologies, and Chinese illustration techniques.

Printed by Tongxuntang, Weixian Shandong province, China. Overseas companies were the first to introduce this type of product promotion to China, which prompted similar tactics from local Chines companies.

This packaging label is colour printed on paper illustrates ten Chinese coins between two boys. The coins are linked with a pink ribon and the two boys are holding a ruyi sceptre and a piece of coral in their hands. There are Chinese inscriptions at each side and top and bottom Top 'Jinqian shangbiao'(Jinqian Brand', Right 'Shandong Weixian', Left 'Xing Jianlai zhi' (Made by Xing Jianlai), Bottom 'Tongxuntang gongchang chupin' ( Produced by Tongxuntang Factory).
