During the mid 1960s there was a large promotion with packets of free stamps with purchases of Ampol petrol. It is believed the album had to be purchased for a small amount.

This album appears to have been used for a general stamp collection. There is little evidence of the type of sets given away free with Ampol petrol in this album.

Postage stamp album, Ampol, paper / card, Ampol / Seaborn Printing Co, Australia, 1960-1975

Fixed leaf postage stamp album of 64 pages, lined 'exercise' book pages have been added and contain extra stamps representing Australia, Great Britain and America. Stamps have been affixed using hinges. The front cover has a photographic reproduction of a desk with globe, stamps, tweezers and magnifying glass.
