Costume, mens, Spanish style suit, used by Carl Randall, silk/plastic/cotton/rayon, Eaves Costume Co, USA, 1920-1970
-1. Jacket: tailored cropped Bolero style jacket made of orange silk velveteen with long sleeves and a turn down collar with peaked lapels. The cuffs, collar, pockets, and hem are all trimmed with black ribbon. The cuffs of the sleeves are decorated with a lozenge shape applique of orange velveteen trimmed with black ribbon and five black plastic buttons in a row. Two welt pockets at left and right front trimmed with black ribbon. One welt pocket inside proper right front. Left and right front decorated black braid covered buttons surrounded by black cord work and tassels, there are two on each side. Machine sewn and fully lined, the torso with black silk and the sleeves with white cotton. No fastenings.
-2. Trousers: tight fitting, straight legged trousers with high tailored waist made of black rayon. There are six black plastic button around inside waist for braces. Centre front fly opening fastens with 3 buttons close at top, then long extension with button at end, then 2 more wider-spaced buttons at bottom. Machine sewn and fully lined with soft black cotton. There is evidence that the trousers have been let out at some stage with rough sewing along centre back seam.
