Theatre program,'Visions' by Louis Nowra, designed by Martin Sharp, paper, Paris Theatre Company, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 1978
This program was designed by Martin Sharp in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

This program was made by The Paris Company in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

The play 'Visions' opened on 17 August 1978.
The Paris Theatre Company was set up in 1978 by Jim Sharman and Rex Cramphorn with financial assistance from Patrick White. It aimed to present new Australian work on a major scale but only lasted one season. It was founded in response to the cancellation of the Old Tote's season of contemporary plays at the Seymour Centre. Its aims were 'to tell the story of our times, to give the tellers responsibility for the way it is told and to make the story worth the price of a ticket'.
Founding members of the Paris Theatre Company included Robyn Nevin, Kate Fitzpatrick, Jennifer Claire, Julie McGregor, John Gaden, Arthur Dignam and Bryan Brown. The first production was Dorothy Hewett's Pandora's Cross. Visions opened on 17 August 1978. The Company folded before its final production, Patrick White's A Cheery Soul opened and this was transferred to the newly created Sydney Theatre Company.
This program was transferred to the Powerhouse Museum collection from the Dennis Wolanski Library, Sydney Opera House, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
