Blouse, part of hand balancing costume, Ardini vaudeville performers, metal/cotton/synthetic, Australia, 1920s-1940s.
Pink loose fitting blouse with round neck and long sleeves. Made of shiny synthetic fabric. Band of heavy mauve cotton sewn around neck and vertically from neck onto bodice of blouse on right hand side. This cotton is covered with hand sewn large silver sequins. Blouse has an opening on left shoulder and neck, fastening with four metal hooks and eyes. Sleeves are made of the same shiny synthetic and are puffed style. Cuffs of sleeves are made of heavy mauve cotton covered with handsewn silver sequins, each fastening with two metal hooks and eyes. Machine and hand sewn, unlined.
