Used to advertise circus c1930. Part of collection owned by the Ardinis, a family of handbalancers and musicians who performed on the Australian vaudeville and circus circuits between the 1920s and the 1950s.
Donated to the Sydney Opera House by Mrs Jean Ardini, 102/56 Ocean St Narrabeen, or 19 Lovett St Manly Vale.

-1 Red border with black background. Red and black outline lettering 'TED HARDS/AND HIS'. Sheet is torn and creased. Top left corner has separated from main part of sheet, this piece includes the letter 'H' from 'HARDS'. Paper fibres have adhered to some areas of red paint. Pencil marks visible. Black paint marks and discolouration of paper on reverse. This sheet is the upper part of 3 part poster.

-2 Red border with black background. Red lettering '7'. Illustrated with 2 stars, one either side of lettering. A cut-out coloured image of a woman sitting down, wearing a hat, dress and shoes is positioned in the lower right corner. Sheet is creased and torn. Paper fibres have adhered to some areas of red paint. Pencil marks visible. Black and red paint marks and yellow and black pastel marks and discolouration of paper on reverse. This sheet is the middle part of 3 part poster.
