'Shunfeng' Smooth Sailing brand, made by the Qinghe Plastics Factory (Qinghe Suliao chang) which was a factory operating within Beijing Number One Prison.
These sandals were made 1985-1989.

Collected by Sang Ye in Beijing on behalf of the museum in 1996.

Sandals, brown plastic, moulded in one piece. T-bar strap across vamp, strap around back of ankle, metal buckle on side, straps across front with toes left bare. Very low wedge heel. Moulded rondel design on front of each shoe with Chinese characters.
