Pair of Doc Martens boots worn in performance by Midnight Oil's drummer Rob Hirst. Blucher style ankle high black boots, of moulded construction with rounded toes and treated rubber soles. The uppers consist of black leather seamed quarters with exterior and interior counters, stitched over vamp, long tongue, laced over with black fabric laces through eight pairs of metal eyelets. The boots are unlined. T Leather uppers. Soles are vulcanised to the uppers and feature an imitation welt. The soles are made of treated rubber, Dr Martens patented air wear sole.

Manufacturer's tag, sewn to inside edge centre back of boots, black fabric with machine embroidered text in white, on one side, "HAWKINS/ OF ENGLAND", on reverse side, "QUALITY FOOTWEAR/ FROM NORTHAMPTON", patented trademark on sole of boots, moulded, text within circle and surrounding a central cross, "DR MARTENS AIR CUSHION SOLES".
