Slippers (pair), polyester/leather/feathers, owned by Thelma White, Australia, 1936
The slippers were probably commercially manufactured as they were purchased in a shop.

Purchased new in 1936.
The slippers were purchased by Thelma White to wear on her honeymoon, and kept as a personal memento along with the dressing gown.

Description
Slippers (pair), polyester/vinyl/feathers, owned by Thelma White, Sydney, 1936
Pair of slip on indoor shoes, womens', turnshoe construction, round toe, with small inserted wedge fabric covered heel. Two piece uppers in quilted pink polyester fabric, seamed through centre, with ostrich feather trim at neck. Lined in discoloured brown synthetic fabric, sock in same fabric, glued to sole. Red vinyl sole with size printed at waist.
