Gramophone, "Playboy" and magnetic records (26), solid cored Italian walnut veneer/ metal/ plastic/ electronic components, Jacoby, Mitchell & Co. Pty. Ltd., Sydney, Australia, [1950].
(-1) Gramophone/radio-recordergraph, mounted in rectangular, Italian walnut veneer cabinet with short legs. Panel of cream fabric across front of cabinet, (covering 12" speaker). Two pull down doors at bottom front, below speaker panel. Lid on top of cabinet, hinged, flip topped, covering recording facilities and radio. A turntable with a green felt top takes up the right 2/3rds of this area. Surrounding the turntable are a white pick up arm and black plastic knobs. To the left of the turntable is an inset, glass covered radio station scale. The left 3rd of the surface is an indented trough holding loose, miscellaneous pieces, including:
(-2) Microphone, rectangular prismic shape, mushroom coloured metal casing, round fabric covered panel inset under bars of metal at front. Black electrical cable extending from back. Printed on front "playboy".
(-3) Cylindrical metal container, (-3/1) body, (-3/2) lid, containing (-3/3) pick up cartridge and (-3/4) unidentified black plastic disc with flat arm protruding at right angles.
(-4) Weight, thick metal disc with hole in centre, covered with decaying black felt.
(-5) Plastic box, (-5/1) body, (-5/2) lid, containing (-5/3:4) pick up cartridges and (-5/5:8) unidentified "A" shaped slivers of metal.
(-6) Magnet, rectangular rod with cream paint on 5 sides.
Stored in the lower drawers of the cabinet is (-7) a cardboard folder and (-8:33) 26 fine, floppy, brown plastic records (12" magnetic discs)
