Description
Train, toy, ride-on, plastic, Playwell Express, Playwell,[1997].

Small plastic ride-on toy steam locomotive for toddler-aged children. The train is foot propelled with white plastic handles on either side of the funnel which steer the front wheels. A black plastic seat can be raised providing a storage area underneath. The train is decorated in bright primary colours to appeal to this age group and there are a number of parts to manipulate including plastic balls to slide along the side of the boiler, a horn on top of the funnel, a knob to press for a bell sound behind the funnel, a clock face above the smoke box door and a dialling mechanism on the smokebox door. The sound effects are battery operated with a battery compartment on the underside. The train has the wording Playwell Express on the side of the boiler and the numbers PE-1357 on the side of the cab. A sticker depicts two children, a girl and a boy inside the cab of the train. Stickers on the rear of the train say RIDE-ALONG LOCOMOTIVE.
