Traditional dance ornaments of the Tiwi People, these items have been made the same traditional way for possibly thousands of years. This group of objects were made by three women, Juanita Tipiloura, Mary Margaret Orsto, and Marie Evelyn Pautjimi.

Arm ring, plant fibre & feathers, Juanita Tipiloura, Mary Margaret Orsto & Marie Evelyn Pautjimi, Tiwi People, Bathurst Island, Northern Territory, 1996-1997. Arm ring made from plaited fibre of natural blond colour and light green. Black feather attached to ring by plaited bush string. Red abrus berry decorative cluster at base of feathers.
